NSA-CERTIFIED TEMPEST LAB

The TEMPEST Lab ensures the protection of National Security Information (NSI) by detecting and mitigating compromising emanations from classified systems, verifying compliance with EMSEC standards per DoD and national policy. It is essential for organizations developing or fielding classified processing systems—especially those requiring NSA certification, cross-domain solutions, or operating in high-risk EMSEC environments—ensuring adherence to AR 380-27 and CNSS standards.

NSA TEMPEST Certification Program

The EPG TEMPEST lab is the only NSA certified lab within the DoW to ensure National Security Information (NSI) will not be compromised by exposure to unauthorized interception of Compromising Emanations (CE) from Classified Information Processing Systems (CLIPS).  The EPG TEMPEST responsibility is to protect National Security Information through the control of compromising emanations by conducting verification and validation testing on Army and DoW classified information processing systems both secure communications and mission equipment.
